Math Data Standards and File Transfer

Katech works in multiple systems and can accept or supply nearly any file format. We keep all software up to date to the latest versions and can export previous version if required.

File Formats

Preferred Native Formats:
• UG (.prt)
• Solidworks (.sldprt, .slddrw, .sldasm)
• Mechanical Desktop/Autocad (.dwg)
• Inventor (.idw, .ipt or .iam)
• Mastercam (.mcX)

Other acceptable native formats:
• Catia (.model, .exp)
• Pro-E ()

Translation formats in order of preference:
• Step (.stp); Solid model translations preferred
• Iges (.igs); Preferred for 2D geometry
• VDAFS German standard
